Last night a brave and strong student died from a long battle with illness. \u00a0Robert was one of the strongest people I have ever met. \u00a0Over his two year battle he never once said I can\u2019t do that with respect to anything. \u00a0Robert continued to go to school even when we were all in awe of how he physically could. \u00a0It was just last week that he was doing his best to raise his hand to communicate his answers. He is the\u00a0definition\u00a0of determination and Grit. \u00a0He will be missed and remembered.<\/p>\n<p>As a teacher this is the hardest part of our job. \u00a0Anyone who has lost a student knows this. \u00a0I am providing the following resource because sometimes you just need some help on a hard day like this. \u00a0Sadly it has helped me in the past and I hope it will help me again today. \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20210413014828\/http:\/\/www.scholastic.com\/childrenandgrief\/\">http:\/\/www.scholastic.com\/childrenandgrief\/<\/a>\u00a0Please keep Robert and his family in your thoughts and prayers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It is with a sad heart that I write this post.
